Year 2005:

  • July 1, 2005
    UBSC established working transactional relationships with 106 units across campus
    .
  • May 17, 2005
    UBSC re-engineered the United Way Infrastructure.
  • March 24, 2005
    UBSC led in the UPortal initiative.
  • January 25, 2005
    UBSC successfully completed the University Audit Review.
  • January 1, 2005
    UBSC created an online customer feedback survey.

    Year 2004:

    • June 1, 2004
      UBSC established working transactional relationships with 82 units across campus.

    Year 2003:

    • September 2, 2003
      UBSC opened for business at its new location at 341 Pine Tree Road, East Hill Plaza.
    • July 15, 2003
      ASCTech's reporting relationship changed from ASC to the Office of the Vice President for Information Technologies.
    • June, 2003
      I-ASC's name changed to the University Business Service Center [UBSC].
    • May, 2003
      Decision was made to move the I-ASC to East Hill Plaza at 341 Pine Tree Road.
    • January 15, 2003
      To support the new role as the new institutional center, ASC's reporting relationship changed to the Division of Financial Affairs - reporting directly to Vice President for Finance and University Controller Joanne DeStefano.
      Name changed to Institutional-Administrative Service Center [I-ASC].

    Year 2002:

    • October, 2002
      Workforce Planning  report recommended the creation of service centers across campus -- specifically the creation of a single institutional transaction center for use by small university units.  It was agreed that the Administrative Service Center would function as the new institutional center -- ultimately serving over 80 departments in multiple operating units across campus.  ASC thus becomes the second largest business service center on campus.

    Year 2001:

    • November, 2001
      The Administrative Service Center [ASC] provided:
      - business support to 44 units
      - technology support to 33 units

    Year 2000:

    • August, 2000
      The Administrative Service Center [ASC] provided:
      - business support to 35 units
      - technology support to 26 units
      Permanent funding approved by the Executive Budget Group beginning in FY02.
    • January, 2000
      The Administrative Service Center [ASC] provided:
      - business support to 26 units
      - technology support to 24 units

    Year 1999:

    • August, 1999
      The Administrative Service Center [ASC] provided:
      - business support to 22 units
      - technology support to 18 units
    • January 4, 1999
      The Administrative Service Center [ASC] -  "an innovative support solution" - officially opened for business.  ASC was established to provide consolidated management of financial, routine business, and technical transactions, providing:
      - business support to 17 units
      - technology support to 13 units

    Year 1998:

    • August 31, 1998
      Service Center proposal to Executive Budget Group.
      Two year service center "pilot" approved
    • July 16, 1998
      Original service center "concept" memo to then Senior Vice President Fred Rogers.
